Security and risk

Your keys, your funds, your control.

PulseTrader is built so you never have to hand over custody or trust us with a withdrawal. Here is exactly how that works, and an honest account of the risks that remain.

Three things that keep you in control.

Non-custodial

Your money stays in your own exchange account the entire time. We never take custody, never pool funds, and there is no PulseTrader wallet your money passes through.

Trade-only API key

You create the API key yourself with withdrawals switched off. It can place and cancel trades, nothing more. Even if the key leaked, it could not move your funds off the exchange.

Self-hosted

The app runs on your own computer. Your keys are stored locally on your machine, not on our servers. We do not see them and cannot use them.

Where your money sits.

There is no step where your funds pass through us. The software sends buy and sell instructions to your exchange using your trade-only key. The coins and cash stay in your account, on the exchange, under your login.

If you stop the app or delete the key, trading stops immediately and your funds are untouched.

The key sends trade instructions one way. It cannot pull money out.

What the key can and cannot do.

The key can

  • Place spot buy and sell orders on your account.
  • Read your balances and open positions to size trades.
  • Cancel orders it has placed.

The key cannot

  • Withdraw or transfer your funds anywhere.
  • Change your account settings or login.
  • Trade on leverage or open futures positions.

Our setup guide walks you through creating the key with withdrawals disabled, step by step, with screenshots. You are in control of the permissions the whole time.

The risks we cannot remove.

Being non-custodial protects your funds from us. It does not protect you from the market. These risks are real and you should weigh them before going live.

You can lose money

Crypto is volatile. A trend strategy takes losing trades, and there can be losing stretches. Only use funds you can afford to lose.

It runs while you run it

The software only trades and manages stops while it is on. If your computer sleeps or loses connection, it cannot act.

No guarantees

This is software that follows rules, not a managed fund and not advice. There is no promised return, and past results do not predict the future.
